YouTube API Services Notice
Rowdy Room Songfinder may use YouTube API Services to help users find publicly available YouTube videos for karaoke and live show song requests.
By using Rowdy Room features that display or search YouTube content, you understand that those features use YouTube API Services and that your use may also be subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Rowdy Room is not owned by, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially affiliated with YouTube, Google, TikTok, or TikFinity.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Rowdy Room, we may collect the following information:
- Song request information: search terms, song titles, artist names, selected video links, YouTube video IDs, queue position, request time, and whether a song was approved, skipped, revoked, or completed.
- Public YouTube information: video title, channel name, thumbnail, video ID, video URL, duration, and similar public video metadata returned by YouTube API Services.
- Live show participation information: display name or username, chat command activity, points, boosts, votes, leaderboard activity, and event participation records.
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number, or message content if you contact Rowdy Room, request booking information, submit a form, or request support.
- Technical information: browser type, device type, IP address, approximate location derived from technical data, server logs, timestamps, and error logs used to keep the service working and secure.
- Cookies or local storage: if used, these may remember preferences, reduce repeated searches, help prevent abuse, or keep the website functioning.
Rowdy Room does not request, collect, store, or ask for your YouTube, Google, TikTok, or TikFinity password.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Run song request, karaoke queue, voting, boost, and live show features.
- Search for public YouTube videos requested by users.
- Display selected YouTube results and help performers choose songs.
- Cache or reuse prior song matches to reduce unnecessary YouTube API usage.
- Moderate requests, prevent spam, prevent abuse, and protect live shows from disruption.
- Operate Rowdy Room Mission Control, TikTok LIVE workflows, Stream Deck workflows, overlays, and show control tools.
- Respond to booking requests, support requests, and user questions.
- Improve Rowdy Room features and troubleshoot technical problems.
3. YouTube API Data Handling
When Rowdy Room uses YouTube API Services, we use YouTube data only for the live karaoke, live DJ, and song request purposes described in this policy.
- We do not download, copy, store, or provide offline playback of YouTube audiovisual content.
- We may temporarily store limited YouTube metadata, such as video ID, title, channel name, thumbnail URL, and request history, to support the song queue and reduce duplicate searches.
- Stored YouTube API data will be deleted or refreshed at least every 30 calendar days where required by YouTube API Services policies.
- If a user asks us to delete stored data associated with that user, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible and within 7 calendar days where required by YouTube API Services policies.
- If Rowdy Room later adds Google OAuth or authorized YouTube account features, users may revoke access through Google’s security permissions page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
At this time, Rowdy Room Songfinder is intended to search public YouTube video data and does not require users to sign in with their Google or YouTube account.
4. Sharing Information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share limited information only as needed with:
- Service providers: hosting providers, database providers, email providers, analytics providers, and technical tools used to operate Rowdy Room.
- Platform services: YouTube/Google, TikTok, TikFinity, OBS, Stream Deck-related tools, or similar services when those services are part of the live show workflow.
- Legal or safety purposes: if required by law, to protect Rowdy Room, to respond to legal requests, or to prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Local Storage
Rowdy Room websites or tools may use cookies, analytics, local storage, or similar technologies to keep the service working, remember preferences, improve performance, count usage, reduce repeated searches, and protect against abuse.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work correctly if cookies or local storage are disabled.
6. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law.
- Song request logs and queue activity may be kept for operational, moderation, and troubleshooting purposes.
- YouTube API metadata is deleted or refreshed at least every 30 calendar days where required by YouTube API Services policies.
- Support, booking, and business communications may be kept as long as needed to manage the relationship or comply with legal obligations.
- Security and error logs may be kept as needed to protect and maintain the service.
7. Your Choices and Deletion Requests
You may contact us to ask what information we have associated with you, request correction, or request deletion of stored information associated with you.
For deletion requests related to Rowdy Room Songfinder or live show participation data, include enough information for us to identify the relevant record, such as your TikTok username, display name, event date, song request, or email address used to contact us.
Deleting information stored by Rowdy Room does not delete information stored by YouTube, Google, TikTok, TikFinity, or other third-party platforms. To manage or delete information on those platforms, use the settings and tools provided by those platforms.
8. Children’s Privacy
Rowdy Room is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Rowdy Room, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
10. Third-Party Links and Platforms
Rowdy Room may link to or interact with third-party platforms, including YouTube, Google, TikTok, TikFinity, Discord, OBS, Stream Deck tools, payment processors, and other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this policy.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will change the effective date above. Continued use of Rowdy Room after changes means you accept the updated policy.
